Learn To Make the Economy Block

The economy block is a great way to use up your scraps to make a quilt filled with your favorite fabric bits.  In this class you will learn two different techniques to make the economy block with a fussy cut center. The first technique is the traditional pieced block where you will learn tips and tricks to make the block fun to piece. The second technique is foundation paper piecing for super sharp corners and precision placement of the fussy cut center. 
We will make at least one of each type of block.

Materials List:
-A novelty/focus print for center of blocks 
-Scraps at least 4" square in a variety of colors and sizes (minimum 4" square).
-5" charm squares assorted
-Assorted fat quarters or quarter yards
-Coordinating thread

Prerequisite: Must know how to cut accurately with a quilting ruler and rotary cutter.
                      Must be able to stitch an accurate 1/4" seam.

Bring a basic sewing kit including: scissors and/or rotary cutter, quilting ruler, marking tool, chalk, seam ripper, and straight pins.

Cancellation Policy
Classes must be cancelled at least three days in advance for a refund or store credit. There will be no make-ups for missed classes.

Skill Level: intermediate
Skill Details: If you can cut accurately and stitch a 1/4" seam you can do this class!!!
